THE BISSON FAMILY OF COMPANIES

Founded in 1919, Bisson Moving & Storage Company is Maine's oldest and largest mover and one of the largest moving companies in New England. Bisson presently employs approximately 175 individuals in eight Maine locations - 2 in Auburn, 2 in Brunswick, Skowegan, Jay, Rumford, and Westbrook. The company's strategically located facilities allow Bisson to service its clients in northern New England in the most cost efficient and responsive manner possible.

Bisson is much more than a moving company. Through our five operating divisions - Bisson Moving & Storage Company, Bisson-I&R Commercial Services (office and industrial furniture and equipment installations), Bisson Document Security (record & file retention and management) Bisson Transportation (truckload freight) and Bisson Heavy Duty Truck Center. Bisson is a fully diversified moving, storage, installations and specialized transportation company.

Bisson Moving & Storage Company

Bisson's Moving and Storage Division provides moving and storage services to families and businesses located throughout the United States. This division specializes in corporate executive relocations, private residential relocations, office and industrial moving, warehousing and storage for individuals, families, corporations and governmental organizations. Our Moving and Storage Division has under its management over 80,000 square feet of climate-controlled warehouse space, more than 100 tractor/trailer and straight truck units, a full compliment of specialized office moving equipment and over 125 experienced residential and office moving professionals.

Bisson is an agent for Atlas Van Lines, the second-largest carrier of household goods in the United States. We may readily access a global network of agents that is over 800 strong to handle moves to or from anywhere. Atlas revenues are over 65% corporate national account moves. As a result, Atlas must maintain extremely high quality standards. The Atlas "World-Class Commitment to Quality" program monitors and rates twelve specific aspects of their agents' service. These ratings are published on an intranet for all of the Atlas family to view. Bisson consistently meets or exceeds Atlas' extremely high quality standards. Bisson provides thirteen long-distance tractor-trailer units to the Atlas Prime Fleet, with an additional eight units in the Self-Haul Fleet, which enables broad coverage throughout the United States.

Bisson-I&R Commercial Services
(Office, Industrial Moving and Modular Office Systems Installation Specialists)

Our factory certified systems furniture specialists provide 'one stop shopping' and the convenience of hiring one organization to accommodate both your commercial moving and modular office systems installation requests. Bisson offers full-service office furniture installations, re-fabricing and cleaning for systems furniture through its Bisson-I&R Commercial Services Division. Bisson-I&R Commercial Services employs aproxamently 45 full-time installers and 5 project managers, and relocates and reconfigures over 15,000 workstations annually.

Bisson Document Security
(Record & File Retention and Management Experts)

Bisson Document Security picks up, bar codes inventories, stores, manages, delivers, and provides certified destruction of client records and files. Our state-of-the-art barcode inventory software provides a unique and flexible method of tailoring file management programs to the varied needs of our clients. This service is provided in our Auburn, Brunswick, and Westbrook facilities.

Bisson Transportation
(Truckload Freight Division)

Bisson transports general commodity freight and special products throughout the United States through its truckload freight division - Bisson Transportation. Bisson Transportation presently operates over 40 tractors, 70 trailers and employs 50 individuals in this division. The professionals operating in Bisson Transportation pride themselves in their commitment to customer service and, as a result, have achieved better than a 99% on-time pick-up and delivery rate. Bisson Transportation maintains the highest possible U.S. Department of Transportation safety rating.

Bisson Heavy Duty Truck Center

Through Bisson's Heavy Duty Truck Center, our company is able to maintain its extensive fleet of tractors, trailers, straight trucks and forklifts in top operating condition so "we're ready when you're ready." In addition, the Truck Center performs an extensive amount of repairs and preventative services for owner operators and companies located throughout the Maine mid-coast region. This Bisson division employs aproxamently 13 full-time mechanics operating three truck repair bays, 20 hours per day, 6 days per week.
