Move For Hunger
Dear prospective customer: Fact: Over 175,000 people in Maine experience food insecurity or are unable to consistently access adequate amounts of nutritious food necessary for a healthy life. Nearly twenty percent of Maine's children are food insecure. With times remaining tight, as well as a continuing financial burden on our community, these numbers are are not improving. Thousands of our community's neighbors need your help. That's why Bisson Moving & Storage has joined forces with the Good Shepherd Food Bank and MOVE For HUNGER. Approximately 40 million people relocated in the United States in 2009. MOVE For HUNGER is a national non-profit organization comprised of approximately 150 movers. Movers that are members of MOVE for HUNGER (Bisson is the only such mover in Maine) collect unwanted, non-perishable food from those who are relocating. Bisson's professional moving staff will assist in boxing your donations during the moving process. Bisson will consolidate these your donations with other donations made by other customers and, on a monthly basis, deliver these items to be delivered to the Good Shepherd Food Bank for redistribution to those in need. By teaming up with moving companies across the United States, MOVE For HUNGER has brought a tremendous amount of relief to those most desperate for our help. With your support, we will turn the average food drive into one of the nation's largest, year-round service programs, strengthening communities food banks and influencing millions across this great country. It is during these trying times that our nations charitable organizations most need your support. Your donations will directly impact thousands of families living right here in Maine.
